INSTRUCTIONS FOR BLUE SCREEN M100 AND M200 VOICE RECORDING INTRO MODE CREATING MUSIC FOLDERS (99 song limit fix also) ALTERING THE ID3-TAG TO CONVERT LANGUAGE SETTINGS BACK TO ENGLISH REPEAT MODE CANCEL DELETING A SONG VOICE RECORDING To operate the voice recorder, please follow these steps: 1. Turn the player on 2. Press the jog dial in (This will take you to the menu) 3. Select RECORD 4. Choose Fine REC, Long REC, or Long VOX. 5. To select one of the following options, press the jog dial in once (It should begin recording) 6. To stop recording or to pause, press the blue button. 7. To stop hold blue button until you see a black square in the middle of your screen. To pause just press the blue button once. 8. To listen to your recording go back to the RECORD option in your menu. 9. Select it by pressing in jog dial once 10. You may scroll forward or backward to review your recordings. 11. They will be listed in numerical order. CREATING MUSIC FOLDERS (99 song limit fix also) To create a folder: 1. Plug your MP3 player into USB port 2. Open up MP3 drive in MY COMPUTER 3. Create a folder by right-clicking the mouse button once 4. Select NEW 5. Select FOLDER 6. Name your folder to whatever you genre you wish. I.e. Slow Jams Once you have created these folders, you can copy and paste your music files into them. 1. Turn your MP3 player on 2. Press in jog dial once 3. Select 4/5 SYSTEM 4. Select 1/11 DIRECTORY 5. Select Music Dir 6. Select directory you wish to use by pressing in jog dial 7. Exit To view which directory you are in, look at the MP3 player in the main screen where you see your song selection. On the top right hand corner you see a folder indicating a folder symbol and a number. The number indicates which folder you selected. You may create as many folders as you wish. TO CONVERT LANGUAGE SETTINGS BACK TO ENGLISH To change the language back to English: 1. Turn the Power on 2. Press in the jog dial once 3. Select 4/5 4. Select 7/11 5. Select 3/9 6. Press in the jog dial to select English ALTERING THE ID3-TAG There are limitations to the ID3 tag and how many characters it can fit. To alter the name on the ID3 tag: 1. Go to the music file you wish to change 2. Right click the song name 3. Scroll down to PROPERTIES 4. Select the SUMMARY tab on the top 5. Select ADVANCE 6. Add the song name next to the heading: ALBUM TITLE 7. Select OK INTRO MODE The settings during manufacturing were set improperly to introduction. To exit out of intro mode: 1. Power on your MP3 player 2. Push the play button 3. Press the jog dial in to go into the menu functions 4. Select the first option (Repeat) 5. Select Normal To select press the jog dial in once. The jog dial is the scroll lever located on the top right side of the MP3 player. It is the little black controller above the HOLD button. DELETING A SONG Deleting a song on your MP3 player 1. Plug the UBS cable into your computer 2. Connect the USB cable to your MP3 player 3. Go to MY COMPUTER on your desktop and double click 4. Look for Removable Disk Drive(X) 5. Open up Removable Disk Drive by double clicking 6. Highlight the song by clicking on it 7. Right click on your mouse and select DELETE You can also delete the song using your MP3 player: 1. Turn the MP3 player on 2. Select the menu by pressing the jog dial in once 3. Scroll over to SYS SET and press the jog dial in to select 4. Scroll to DELETE FILE and press the jog dial in to select 5. Select DEL MUSIC 1/3 by pressing the jog dial 6. Select DELETE ONE 1/3 7. Exit REPEAT MODE CANCEL To cancel the repeat mode please follow these steps: 1. Power on your MP3 player 2. Push the play button 3. Press the jog dial in to go into the menu functions 4. Select the first option (Repeat) 5. Select Normal To select press the jog dial in once. The jog dial is the scroll lever located on the top right side of the MP3 player. It is the little black controller above the HOLD button.
